Here are some fun litte Chuck Norris facts...Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris was born on the 10th of March in 1940 in Ryan, Oklahoma and is an American martial artist, actor, and media personality. Initially he served in the United States Air Force, before he rose to fame as a martial artist. He has since founded his own school, Chun Kuk Do. Norris has starred in a number of action films, such as The Cannon Group in the 1980s, whereby he was the leading star, and Way of the Dragon whereby he appeared alongside
Bruce Lee.
His next starring role was in the television series Walker, Texas Ranger from 1993 to 2001. Want some info on Chuck Norris Movies?? During his time in the United States Air Force Norris was sent to South Korea and it was there that he acquired the name Chuck and began his training in Tang Soo Do. He created the education associations United Fighting Arts Federation and "KickStart", a middle school and high school that had a based program which intended to give at-risk children a focus point in their lives through martial arts. When Chuck returned to the United States he continued to act as an Air Policeman in California. However, Norris was discharged in August 1962 and he opened a chain of karate schools. Chuck Norris was defeated in his first two tournaments. However, by 1967 he had improved enough and scored victories. Norris then went on to suffer his tenth and last loss of his career in early 1968, losing an upset decision to Louis Delgado. On 24th November 1968, Norris avenged his defeat to Delgado and by doing so he won the Professional Middleweight Karate champion title, which he held for six years running. He won Karate's Triple Crown in 1969 for the most tournament wins of the year, as well as the Fighter of the Year award by Black Belt Magazine.
1977 had a Chuck Norris fact that most don't realize. His first starring role in Breaker! Breaker!, and subsequent films such as Good Guys Wear Black in 1978, The Octagon in 1980, An Eye for an Eye in 1981, and Lone Wolf McQuade proved his increasing box office bankability. Norris starred in Missing in Action in 1984, which was the first of a series of Prisoner of War rescue fantasies that were themed around the Vietnam War POW/MIA issue. Norris publicly stated that he was never offered the part of Sensei of the Kobra Kai dojo in The Karate Kid.

It has occasionally been stated that Chuck Norris made history in 1997 when he was the first Westerner in the history of Tae Kwon Do to be given the rank of 8th Degree Black Belt Grand Master. However, there were at least two other U.S. Black Belts awarded TKD 8th Dan several years prior. Chuck Norris was presented with the Golden Lifetime Achievement Award on 1st July 2000 by the World Karate Union Hall of Fame. Norris founded the World Combat League (WCL) in 2005, which is a full-contact, team-based martial arts competition.
